Introducing the concept of "ZETTAIMU" and the current members
ZETTAIMU
Zettaimu uniquely expresses the 'yin sensibilities' emerging from the Japanese psyche, steering away from the exuberance of rock 'n' roll and instead delving into the decadent aspect of rock music
with the spirit of the S A M U R A I.
They are currently working as a duo focusing on music production.
Born in Tokyo on July 22, 1962. Enjoys drinking. Oddly skilled at "moonwalking."

Active as the drummer of the charismatic band "Katsurei," which has been supporting the indie scene since the 1980s.
In April 2001, after the joint performance of "Katsurei" and "Zettaimu", he resonated with the musical style of "Zettaimu" and joined the band in July 2001.

Born in Kokura, Kitakyushu on March 7, 1959. Grew up in Genkai. Enjoys drinking.
In songwriting, handles lyrics, composition, vocals, guitar, backing vocals, bass, piano, keyboards, and more. During live performances, takes on vocals and guitar, among other roles.
The main instruments are Gibson Les Paul and Godin Solidac.
His earliest musical memory traces back to his mother playing the koto. Growing up in Kokura, the Gion Festival provided a distinctive local beat. Later encounters with rock music naturally blended the delicate tunes of the koto and the distinctive 'ma'(*1) of the Gion Festival with the offbeat essence of rock.
During his time at Keio University, he suffered from neurasthenia, leading to his withdrawal from studies. Luckily, his deep immersion in "Zen" became pivotal, significantly influencing his musical style thereafter.
Creating songs that prioritize melody and ensemble is evident across various tracks, manifesting in a distinctive "POP" form. Ultimately, the aim is to achieve a rock music style with a touch of "melancholy" and "withered elegance".
From the summer of 2024, it seems he'll embark on a nomadic journey across Japan in a camping trailer alongside his beloved dogs, kickstarting songwriting and recording sessions.
(*1) "Ma" in Japanese art: essence of intervals, pauses, and space.
